This piece was part of Madison Sharman's art show 'The Alberta Wilds'. This painting was originally created using ground-up coal to create black paint. Madison is always inspired by her work in local heritage institutions and the beautiful scenery around her. This is a perfect example of her experience uncovering historic coal mines and painting the beauty of the area.
